A leading U.S.-based manufacturer serving OEM customers across highly regulated industries (including medical, aerospace, and defense) is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to support and grow business in the Northeast territory.The assigned territory includes Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The ideal candidate will be located near a major hub airport or in the Northeast region of the U.S.Position OverviewThis role is responsible for managing and expanding existing OEM customer relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities. The successful candidate understands the OEM buying process, values consultative selling, and partners closely with internal technical and engineering teams to deliver effective, customer-focused solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute territory strategies aligned with overall business objectivesOwn and manage customer relationships, ensuring responsiveness and follow-throughGrow existing accounts while identifying new market and customer opportunitiesCollaborate with engineering and technical teams to deliver consultative solutionsCommunicate market trends, customer needs, and performance metrics using KPIsEnsure compliance with company pricing, forecasting, terms and conditions, and ethical standardsEffectively coordinate internal resources to support territory goalsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or Business (required)Minimum of 5 years of professional experience; strong background in sales of engineered products strongly preferredAt least 2 years of manufacturing sales experienceStrong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage all organizational levelsKnowledge of industrial sales techniques and a willingness to continuously learnAbility to manage multiple priorities independentlyProficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft OfficeWillingness to travel up to 75% within the assigned territoryCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience and qualificationsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceBonus program401(k) retirement plan
