Open-Rank Full-Time Faculty position, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Neuromuscular/Neuroscience

JOB LOCATION:Fully RemoteX Hybrid (Some remote work some on campus work)On Campus (but ability to pivot to some remote work should that be necessary)JOB SUMMARYSpalding University is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position in the Kosair for Kids School of Physical Therapy. This is a 12-month, tenure-track position. Faculty rank (of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) is negotiable depending on experience. The desired start date is May 8, 2026. This position will serve on academic unit and university committees and participate in official activities at the academic unit, college, graduate area, and university levels. The program is taught in a hybrid format. While the faculty member may not need to live in Louisville, Kentucky, they will need to travel to Louisville for lab immersions several times each semester. The ideal applicant will be able to teach a variety of courses in the entry-level DPT program, including neurological and neuromuscular physical therapy content.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and teach the lecture portion of courses using online delivery to include weekly one-hour synchronous sessions.Participate in school and institutional committees.Teaching laboratory content for courses occurring on campus in Louisville, KY.Other duties as assigned by the program director or chair.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and teach the lecture portion of courses using online delivery to include weekly one-hour synchronous sessions.Participate in school and institutional committees.Teaching laboratory content for courses occurring on campus in Louisville, KY.Other duties as assigned by the program director or chair.SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSRequired:Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Kentucky, or eligible for licensureA minimum of three years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice.Terminal Doctorate degree (PhD, EdD, DSc or equivalent). In lieu of a terminal doctorate, a DPT with ABPTS Board certification (NCS) may be accepted.Preferred:Prior experience teaching in a CAPTE accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy program, with neurological/neuromuscular teaching expertise strongly preferred.ABPTS Board certification.
