Corporate Associate Attorney (2-6 yrs) - Midsize Law Firm

About the Position:Our client, a collegial law firm with Midwest roots, is actively seeking a corporate M&A attorney to join its Chicago office as an associate. This full-service M&A practice works closely with attorneys across other practice areas, including tax, executive comp/employee benefits, finance, IP and restructuring, and assists clients in every stage of the process to craft transactions, conduct due diligence, secure financing, negotiate terms and document results.Highlights:· Strong professional and practice development support· Firm is supportive of work-life balance· Role provides strong hands-on experience, allowing associates to grow and excelResponsibilities:· Counsel clients across a range of industries on corporate matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions· Handle due diligence support and provide general business counseling and legal guidance· Draft and review contracts and preparing corporate documents such as purchase agreements, disclosure schedules, operating/shareholder agreements, and related transaction documentsRequired Qualifications:· 2-6 years of corporate transactional experience, including strong M&A experience· Experience with private equity and/or private company transactions preferred· Strong academic credentials and drafting skillsLocation:Chicago, IL (Hybrid)Compensation:The anticipated base salary range for these positions is $190,000 - $250,000.About Us:McCormack Schreiber Legal Search is Chicago’s leading legal search firm.
