Details Resource Float pool position floating to Med/Surg Telemetry and Med/Surg units as needed 12-hour night shifts in an academic teaching hospital setting Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling permitted Every other weekend requirement minimum, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs No on-call responsibilities Assignment length of 16–32 weeks Requirements Active RN license in Vermont (VT) or a compact state; NY license accepted with proof of pending licensure Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification required prior to start PCCN and orthopedic certifications preferred Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience Prior travel nursing experience required Academic teaching hospital experience required Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable) Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required, with at least one from the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Must cover 2 of the 4 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays Reliable personal transportation is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area; all-season or snow tires required November through April This is an immediate offer position — no formal interview required Candidates with employment gaps exceeding 90 days should be prepared to provide an explanation Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type is required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-687726.
