Staff Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

As a Kavaliro team member, you will serve as a Systems Engineer providing end-to-end Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services to a National Customer. Key Responsibilities • Plan, socialize and lead complex integration plans to integrate multi-agency ground segments delivering commercial products to meet mission needs. • Successfully work in a dynamic multi-contractor environment with the ability to maintain focus on delivery with competing priorities. • Develop and publish concept of operations, architecture views, use cases, requirements. • Conduct systems integration, Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments. • Guide the Government customers with strategic technical planning, project management, risk management, performance engineering, and interface design products to support decision making. • Present ideas and solutions to the government at various levels (group, office, executive) • Operate at the enterprise level, integrating multiple systems, services, and processes across agencies and major system acquisitions. Required Qualifications • Must possess NGA ground segment and/or NRO sensor experience, strong understanding of NSG/ASG and NRO space and ground systems • Experience with Commercial Imagery and/or Analytics (EO, SAR, and/or NEI) • Strong understanding and experience with the systems engineering lifecycle. • Demonstrated Systems engineering and integration experience of large-scale, mult-segment integration efforts. • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • Experience with Digital Engineering methods and tools (Agile; Confluence/Jira) • STEM degree: Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, IT, MIS, Operations Research, or related STEM field (or equivalent experience). • 15-20 years experience. Desired Qualifications • Familiarity with: o commercial imagery providers: Vantor (previously Maxar), Plant, BlackSky, HEO, Muon, and/or Turion o NITF (National Imagery Transmission Format) o Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes and tools (Cameo) o NGA or NRO RFC processes and tools • INCOSE Certification (e.g., Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)) • Working knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, GIS, geomatics, or related fields • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM discipline • 20+ years experience
