Are you living your life's work?Penn Medicine is seeking a full-time, day shift, Ambulatory/Retail Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP).Summary:+ The Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator ("PCC") primary responsibility is the management of the Unit Based Clinical Pharmacists ("UBCP"s) and their professional practice. This includes the recruitment, training and evaluation of new UBCPs as required. In addition, the PCC duties will include the daily management of unit specific issues regarding pharmacy practice, and the support of clinical pharmacist activities and concerns. The PCC, in conjunction with the Associate Director for Professional Practice, will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of various clinical programs throughout the department, including activities such as therapeutic drug monitoring, quality assurance, and medication and safety initiatives. In addition, the PCC will represent the UBCP staff and Pharmacy Department at multidisciplinary clinical and administrative meetings and will support the UBCP staff in any unit or hospital-wide initiatives as needed including regulatory, legal and accreditation issues.Responsibilities:+ Recruit, train and evaluate new UBCPs, as required.The daily management of unit specific issues regarding pharmacy practice, and the support of clinical pharmacist activities and concerns.In conjunction with the Associate Director for Professional Practice, develop, implement and maintain various clinical programs throughout the department, including activities such as therapeutic drug monitoring, quality assurance, and medication and safety initiatives.Represent the UBCP Staff and Pharmacy Department at multidisciplinary clinical and administrative meetings and will support the UBCP staff in any unit or hospital-wide initiatives as needed including regulatory, legal and accreditation issues.Credentials:+ Current Pharmacist License in the State of PA (Required)Education or Equivalent Experience:+ Education Specialization:or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy(Required)+ Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) Pharmacy ResidencyEquivalent Experience (Required)+ Post Graduate Year 2 (PGY2) Pharmacy Residency Equivalent Experience (Preferred)+ And 3+ years 3 - 5 years of experience in managing programs and people within health system pharmacy (Required)We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
