and community collegeAbout the RoleThe Company is seeking a Dean of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies to provide visionary leadership and foster a culture of academic excellence, inclusivity, and collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality of courses, programs, and faculty within the liberal arts and professional studies division, with a strong commitment to the success of a diverse student population. This role involves overseeing academic program and curriculum development, leading initiatives to enhance student success, and managing departmental budgets. The Dean will also be a key advocate for the value of liberal arts education and will work closely with community and industry partners to support student pathways.Applicants for the Dean position at the company should have an earned master's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a doctorate, and at least 5 years' of experience in higher education, including a minimum of 3 years in an academic administrative or leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effective teaching, a deep understanding of current issues in post-secondary education, and a commitment to the philosophy of a comprehensive community college. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are essential, as is a demonstrated ability to support a diverse and inclusive campus environment.
