Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of recent dedicated Cardiac ICU experience required License: RN License/Compact License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Recent experience and competency in the last 6 months with VV/VA ECMO, IABP, TTM/Arctic Sun, Impella, CRRT, PA Catheter Guided Therapy - Strong experience with advanced therapy modalities - Ability to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips - Ability to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac ICU. Qualified candidates must have 2 or more years of recent experience in a dedicated Cardiac ICU/CCU/CVICU. Candidates must have solid experience with PA Caths, Swan Ganz Catheter, Targeted Temperature Management, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO. Candidates should be proficient in managing patients with conditions such as cardiogenic shock, STEMI, cardiac arrest, advanced heart failure management, cardiac arrhythmia, and post-IR/PCI procedures. The role involves a rotating schedule with day and night shifts. Nurses will be required to work every other weekend and one major winter holiday. There will be expectations to float to other ICUs, step-down units, progressive care, IMC, and telemetry units. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 and 1:3 in step-down scenarios. Experience with the electronic medical record system is required. Scrubs must meet the specified color guidelines.
