Full Stack .NET Developer

ob Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack .NET Developer to join our team and assist with migrating legacy applications to modern ASP.NET Core applications. In this role, you will work closely with business owners to extract business logic from legacy codebases (VB6, Classic ASP, T-SQL), modernize it, and ensure that it aligns with current business rules. The ideal candidate is proficient in ASP.NET Core development, has experience with legacy systems, and is eager to tackle diverse technical challenges ranging from SQL script upgrades to developing Web API REST services. Responsibilities: Design and develop ASP.NET Core applications using the .NET Core development stack. Work with legacy codebases written in VB6, Classic ASP, and T-SQL, migrating them to modern systems. Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate business logic and implement necessary updates. Optimize large and complex SQL scripts, including dynamic SQL built in VB6 and migration to stored procedures. Build web pages using Razor Pages/MVC and write Web API REST services. Debug ELT jobs, upgrade T-SQL scripts, and document processes. Provide integration work with Oracle/APEX, and understand PL/SQL as a plus. Use GIT source control in a collaborative environment. Qualifications and Requirements: 5+ years of experience in programming with VB6, VBScript, C#, T-SQL, and PL/SQL. Expertise in ASP.NET development (.NET Framework and .NET Core) using Entity Framework and/or ADO.NET. Strong experience with Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio. Solid understanding of design patterns and database normalization. Proven experience in ETL processing using SQL Server tools like Integration Services, BCP.exe, and T-SQL Bulk Load. Familiarity with SQL Agent, Windows Scheduled Tasks, and scheduled jobs. Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and libraries like jQuery and React. Familiarity with Oracle APEX and PL/SQL is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
