Wafer Fab Equipment Integration Technician

Applied Materials’ Gloucester, MA site—home to a strong Varian Semiconductor presence—manufactures advanced equipment for the semiconductor and display industries. This is an 18‑month contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role.Is this you?Do you enjoy assembling complex mechanical and electrical systems with precision?Can you read blueprints and electrical schematics confidently?Are you comfortable spending most of your day on the move (about 85% standing/walking)?Do you bring 1–2 years of hands‑on manufacturing experience and solid troubleshooting instincts?Are you computer savvy and ready to document work details accurately?What you’ll doAssemble mechanical units and electrical/electronic systems into subassemblies and complete builds using hand/power tools, jigs, and fixtures.Follow routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts/wire lists to build, test, and repair electro‑mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies.Support troubleshooting, error identification, and corrective actions with guidance.Under supervision, operate test fixtures, electronic measurement gear, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps.Enter progress, labor, and expense data via computer terminal; sometimes assist with software installs, light programming, or minor repairs.Keep the work area safe and clean; use required PPE; complete all safety training.Document completed work, receive and audit parts, inspect for defects, and suggest process improvements.Compensation & scheduleBase rate: $23.00–$25.00 per hour.First Shift: 5:30 am–4:00 pm, Monday–Thursday.Second Shift: 3:45 am–2:15 pm, Monday–Thursday (+10% per hour differential).Third Shift: 7:30 pm–6:00 am, Monday–Thursday (+13% per hour differential).Fourth Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 am–6:30 pm (+11% per hour differential).Estimated Min Rate: $23.00 | Estimated Max Rate: $25.00What you’ll bring1–2 years of manufacturing experience (non‑semiconductor experience welcome).Fluency with hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and related equipment.Ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.Proficiency in equipment troubleshooting and general diagnostic skills.Comfort using computers to log progress, time, and expenses.Benefits through YohBenefitsAs part of Yoh’s talent community, you’ll gain access to a wide network of roles across the U.S., UK, and Canada—backed by 65+ years of staffing expertise—and a competitive benefits package:Medical, Dental, and Vision plans401(k) Retirement Savings PlanLife & Disability InsuranceWeekly ePayroll and direct depositEmployee Discount ProgramsPre‑employment requirementAll offers are contingent to passing all pre-employment screenings and background check.
