Intern Responsible for completing projects that are customized to the intern's interest and the needs of the staff directors and physicians at JWM Neurology.Location: JWM Administrative Office; 6983 Hillsdale Ct., Indianapolis, IN 46250 Supervision Received: Reports to Executive Director. Supervision Exercised: None.Essential Functions:Communicate call schedules with physicians on a daily basis.Process reporting and analytics for business operations in EMR/EHR systems at the direction of the Executive Director.Distributes weekly physician schedules to contracted hospitals.Assist charge entry and patient account representatives with billing and data-entry, as needed.Participates in project management at the direction of the administrators.Other duties, as assigned.Competencies:Skills in Excel, Microsoft Suite products, Adobe products preferred.Ability to learn new technologies and software programs.Knowledge of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.Organized; sets priorities; meets deadlines.Travel: Minimal travel between JWM offices may be required. Proof of a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance required.Work Environment:This job operates in a clinical office setting within a confined cubical area. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Physical Demands:This role requires one to sit, stand and walk for 4-5 hours per day. This would require the ability to lift objects up to 30 lbs., open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
