Construction Estimator

CMI is seeking a skilled, motivated estimator to join our team. Our company works on commercial and residential construction projects so you must be familiar with a wide range of cost structures, and timelines. In this position, you will be responsible for surveying projects, estimating labor and material costs and communicating financial cost and project timelines. You must have keen attention to detail and skills at estimating projects to set our clients expectations accurately. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Review bid drawings and reports (Civil, Architectural, Structural, MEP, Geotech, Environmental). Prepare thorough estimates, proposals, schedules and bid submittals. Review and negotiate contracts, plans and specifications. Fulfill client appointments in a timely manner. Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation to ensure overall accuracy. Maintain thorough records of all project documentation, including estimates, sales receipts, and project completion documentation. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 5-7 year’ experience Construction knowledge and/or background required Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required Proficient in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Project, etc) Experience with On-Screen Takeoff Motivated, self-starter that takes initiative with good time management skills Must be detail oriented and a problem solver Great communication skills, written and verbal
