Job Title: LTC RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Long-Term Care (LTC) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Experience in medication administration - Supervisory skills - Previous nursing home experience is a plus - Self-motivated Description: Unit Notes: Candidates must have an account created and registered to run necessary compliance studies prior to submission. Department: LTC RN Position requires no clinical involvement. Previous travel experience is not required. Facility type: Nursing Home The facility is attached to a hospital and offers additional services such as emergency care and rehabilitation. Capacity: 38 residents in private rooms. Electronic medical record system: Point Click Care. Day and evening shift ratios: 1 nurse to 2-3 nursing assistants for 20 residents. Night shift ratio: 1 nurse to 2-3 nursing assistants for 40 residents. Common diagnoses include COPD, dementia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and congestive heart failure. Key job duties include medication administration, wound care, catheter care, ostomy care, and supervising nursing assistants. No IVs or titratable drips are present. Physician availability is ensured after hours. Medication Dispensing is done using blister pack cards. An on-site pharmacy is available. Shifts are available in either 8-hour or 12-hour formats. Block scheduling may be available based on needs. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend. Holiday requirements include working every other holiday. There is no call or standby requirement. Floating to other units is not required. Scrubs are provided for staff. The number of orientation shifts will be determined by individual needs. Candidates must comply with a radius rule of 50 miles. Requests for time off must be provided upfront, and additional requests will not be approved. Cancellations can occur for up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. The charting system used is Point Click Care (PCC).
