Magazine, Excel Services has built its reputation through decades of creating buildings that help people perform better.As your single-source solution, our core values of Teamwork, Integrity, Innovation, Quality, Accountability, and Loyalty instill confidence and satisfaction in everything we do, while our multidisciplinary model assures you the very best integrated thinking on every project.Job ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, test, and service commercial fire alarm systems per NFPA, manufacturer, and local code standardsRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents related to fire alarm systemsProgram fire alarm control panels and devices (Honeywell, Notifier, Silent Knight, EST, Siemens, etc.)Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm system components and ensure full system functionalityInstall and route conduit and cable for system infrastructureCoordinate with general contractors and project managers to meet project timelines and safety standardsComplete daily and project-based documentation accurately, including inspection reports and as-built drawingsRequirementsQualities:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral, written, and presentation)Creative problem solver with exceptional attention to detailTeam player with a strong sense of accountability and initiativeAble to manage time effectively and work under minimal supervisionStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentRequired Experience And Skills5+ years of experience installing and servicing commercial fire alarm systemsWorking knowledge of NFPA codes, local fire codes, and applicable industry standardsFamiliar with various fire alarm systems and control panels (Honeywell, EST, Notifier, etc.)Proficient in reading wiring diagrams and technical schematicsComfortable working at heights, on lifts, and using hand/power toolsPossess a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass background and drug screeningsPreferred CertificationsNICET Level I or II in Fire Alarm Systems (or ability to obtain within 6 months)OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationManufacturer-specific certifications are a plus
