Sr IM Process EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Sr IM Process Engineer to lead injection molding process development and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. The role focuses on developing robust processes, reducing cycle times and scrap, supporting new product introductions (NPI), and driving cost-effective manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep injection molding expertise with strong project execution and cross-functional collaboration skills.Key ResponsibilitiesLead development, optimization and troubleshooting of injection molding processes to achieve quality, efficiency and cost targets.Design and qualify molding process parameters, tooling requirements and standards for new product introductions and existing product improvements.Partner with design, manufacturing, quality and supply chain to transfer products from development to production and resolve production issues using root-cause analysis and corrective actions.Define and execute process capability studies, design of experiments (DOE) and data-driven process controls to improve yield and consistency.Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions, control plans, PFMEAs and process flow charts.Lead mold trials, first articles and process validations at internal and external tool shops; provide technical oversight to suppliers and OEM partners.Manage CAPEX-related process equipment specifications, vendor selection, installation support and commissioning.Coach and mentor junior engineers and technicians; promote best practices in safety, quality and continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).Use project management tools (e.g., MS Project) to plan and deliver process improvement, NPD and capital projects on schedule and within budget.QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).5+ years of hands-on injection molding/process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated expertise in injection molding processes, tooling/molds, process optimization and manufacturing transfer.Strong analytical skills with experience in DOE, SPC, process capability analysis and root-cause problem solving.Proven track record supporting New Product Development (NPD) and working with OEMs and external mold suppliers.Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD tools, and familiarity with PET materials and polymer processing preferred.Experience managing CAPEX projects, equipment commissioning and supplier qualification.Knowledge of CPPE or other plastics process engineering practices and standards is a plus.Proficient with MS Project or equivalent project management tools.Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration and project leadership skills.BenefitsCompetitive compensationFull health benefits (medical, dental, vision)401k w/matchPTOPaid holidaysGrowth/advancement opportunitiesMuch more!
