Blender Operator - NightshiftLocation: Evansville, IN, 47712SummaryThe Blender Operator locates and stages product to be blended, loads and unloads the blender, and moves outgoing product to the specified staging area for shipment out of the plant. The purpose of this position is to create a homogeneous mix of plastic pellets or shredded/granulated plastic from several smaller batches, or to produce a finished lot from compounded plastic.Essential FunctionsFollows shift start-up and shut-down proceduresOperates blender scalesPrepares blender for loading and unloadingPackages blended productDelivers appropriate samples from post-blend material to lab in a timely mannerCompletes shift paperwork neatly and accuratelyAdheres to all safety policies and procedures relating to cleaning of blenders, including fall protection inspection, air monitoring, and completion of confined space permitPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Skills & AbilitiesAbility to follow instructions and complete assignmentsAttention to detailRequired Education & ExperienceHigh school degree or GEDPhysical RequirementsLift up to 80 lbs. at waist level, up to 80 lbs. at floor level, and up to 40 lbs. at elevated level on a rare basis when moving productsDisplay average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job tasksPerform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling productsStoop, kneel, or squat on an occasional basis when handling productsReach forward and to the side on an occasional basis when handling productsStand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis during the course of each shiftClimb steps on an occasional basisAble to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per shiftAbility to be on feet for up to 8-12 hours per shiftClimb steps/ladders on an occasional basis
