Location: Evansville, IN, 47712Shift: NightshiftSummaryThe role of the Extruder Operator is to produce high-quality compounded feed stock safely and efficiently for customers.Essential FunctionsEffectively communicate with management, other operators and lab techniciansFollow all safety policies and procedures closely, actively look for potentially hazardous conditions and report such in a timely mannerExecute all phases of extruder operationPerform preventative maintenance duties on extrudersAccurately and neatly complete required paperworkDocument daily activities, running conditions, etc.Display ability to minimize excessive scrap and downtimeOther duties as assignedRequired Skills And AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailRequired Education & ExperienceHigh school graduate or equivalentCompletion of on-the-job training with the ability to follow instructionsPhysical RequirementsLift up to 80 lbs. at waist level, up to 80 lbs. at floor level, and up to 40 lbs. at elevated level on a rare basis when moving productsDisplay average coordination with both hands on a continuous basis while performing job tasksPerform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling productsStoop, kneel or squat on an occasional basis when handling productsReach forward and to the side on an occasional basis when handling productsStand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis during the course of each shiftClimb steps on an occasional basisAble to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per shiftAbility to be on feet for up to 8-12 hours per shiftClimb steps/ladders on an occasional basis
