Join Our Team at a Local Manufacturing CompanyCome work for a local manufacturing company that offers stability with over 70 years of success in the screw product industry! Plus you'll get a 3 day weekend and 1st shift hours.Starting pay: $24-$26/hr based on experience. Shift: 6:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday. (Availability to work OT on Friday when needed)Duties/ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints and Job Routings to determine part specifications and order requirements.Use gages and other measuring instruments to make sure parts conform to specifications.Install collets, pushers, gears, cams, tool holders and any other tooling required to machine part per print specifications.Set all tooling as required.Verify conformance of first piece production, making sure all dimensions are in conformance with print specifications using proper measuring instruments.Tear down set-ups after job is complete.Sharpen/replace old tooling if required.Inspect parts to make sure they fit print requirements.Clean machine and work area daily. Keep area orderly. Floor around machine must be kept free of oil.Instruct/help co-workers.Follow all safety rules and procedures. Report any unsafe condition/action to a supervisor.Learn and practice preventative maintenance on machinery and tooling to protect from damage and loss. Report any condition requiring repair to the department supervisor.Skills/Qualifications3 years previous experience in setting up and operating Acme Gridley Screw Machines.Must have a working knowledge of tooling and attachments; Dovetail forms, floating shave, knee tools, knurling, tapping, thread rolling, accelerated reaming, and recess and pick off attachments.Must be able to set up to completion from print and layout, including; cams, gears, attachments, and tooling to finished part.Must be able to lift 50 lbs independently and stand for up to 10-hour shift.Able to read blueprints and use inspection tools.
