Senior Full-Stack Developer (React / Java)
Position SummaryAIO Logic is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to design, build, and scale its AXIS platform during a critical phase of growth. This is a hands-on engineering role for a developer who thrives in building high-quality, scalable software in a fast-growing, regulated fintech environment.The Senior Full-Stack Developer will be responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions across both front-end (React) and back-end (Java/Spring Boot), translating complex lending and financial requirements into reliable, performant systems. This individual will play a key role in shaping architecture, improving system performance, and mentoring other engineers, while partnering closely with Product, UX, and Operations teams.Why This Role ExistsAIO Logic's AXIS platform is scaling quickly and needs engineers who are comfortable operating at both a detailed implementation level and a broader architectural level — writing production-grade code while contributing to system design and scalability as the company grows.Key ResponsibilitiesFull-Stack Development & Platform Delivery:Architect, design, build, and maintain front-end (React) and back-end (Java/Spring Boot) components of the AXIS platform.Develop new features across UI/UX, APIs, business logic, and system integrations (internal and external).Translate business and financial domain requirements (including lending workflows and financial calculations) into scalable technical solutions.Financial Systems & Domain Logic:Implement complex financial logic, including amortization schedules, variable rate calculations, conditional workflows, and portfolio-level processing.Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to support business operations, including loan performance, risk metrics, and KPIs.Architecture, Performance & Scalability:Design and evolve system architecture (microservices or monolithic) to support growth, scalability, and maintainability.Optimize performance across front-end and back-end systems, including load times, throughput, and database performance.Refactor and improve existing systems as needed to support scale and new product capabilities.Security, Compliance & Reliability:Ensure systems meet fintech regulatory standards, including secure authentication, authorization, data encryption, and auditability.Build resilient, fault-tolerant systems that support high availability and strong SLAs.Support production operations, incident response, and issue resolution.Collaboration & Delivery:Partner cross-functionally with Product, UX, QA, and Operations to deliver features end-to-end.Participate in code reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.Contribute to improving development processes, tooling, and team productivity.Mentorship & Team Development:Mentor junior and mid-level developers on best practices, architecture, performance, and maintainability.Promote high standards of code quality, documentation, and engineering discipline.Systems, Tooling & DevOps:Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, monitoring, and logging.Support containerized deployments and cloud infrastructure environments.Contribute to tooling that improves developer efficiency and system observability.QualificationsRequired:5+ years of professional software engineering experience with substantial full-stack development.Strong hands-on experience with React (front-end) and Java / Spring Boot (back-end).Strong proficiency in React, including hooks, state management, and component architecture; experience with performance optimization and scalable UI design; solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.Strong knowledge of Java, dependency injection, and REST API design; experience with database design, SQL, ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate/JPA), and query optimization.Understanding of microservices and/or monolithic architectures; experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices; exposure to containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes preferred).Knowledge of application security best practices (authentication, authorization, secure data handling).Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders; ability to work effectively with Product, UX, QA, and business teams.Experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers; comfortable working in Agile development environments.Preferred:Experience building software for financial services, commercial lending, loan servicing, or portfolio management.Familiarity with financial calculations such as interest rate variability, amortization schedules, and conditional payment logic.Experience building dashboards, reporting tools, and business intelligence solutions; familiarity with tracking operational metrics, loan performance, and risk indicators.Experience working in regulated environments with data privacy, encryption, audit logging, and secure data transmission requirements.Proven ability to scale applications and optimize performance across large datasets and high-load systems; experience with caching strategies, query optimization, and system tuning.Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or similar); familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools; Salary ranges are provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws.
