Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Asphalt Paver Operator to join our hot mix asphalt crew. In this role, you will be responsible for operating the paver and setting the screed to ensure the consistent, even distribution of asphalt mix during paving operations. You will work closely with other crew members to deliver high-quality paving results. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and control asphalt paver machine to lay hot mix asphalt in accordance with project specifications. - Properly set screed to ensure a consistent, smooth, and level asphalt surface during paving operations. - Monitor material levels and temperatures, and make adjustments to maintain optimal quality. - Collaborate with the asphalt crew to ensure efficient workflow. - Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment to ensure safe and efficient use. - Troubleshoot any equipment issues or concerns and report them to superintendents for timely resolution. - Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment on job sites. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating asphalt pavers on a hot mix crew. - Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and screed controls. - Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy during paving operations. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment under various weather conditions. - Excellent teamwork and communication skills. - Must possess a valid driver’s license.
