Current Position(s)Dirt Supervisor - TexarkanaEssential FunctionsReview plans and specs to gain a full understanding of the project's scopeWork in collaboration with operations team members and field personnel, to create and monitor the construction schedule to maintain the project budgetEnsure adherence to company safety policiesAssist in moving and operating equipment as neededManage and oversee Heavy Equipment Operators including timekeepingCoordinate transportation of heavy equipment when neededRequired Skills And ExperienceAbility to run excavators, bulldozers, road graders, reclaimer/stabilizers and other heavy construction equipmentKnowledgeable in the areas of processing and compacting dirt, flex base and stabilization including grade work, surveying and blue topping.Calculate finishing grade from plans and survey control points.CompetenciesAbility to multi-taskGood organizational skillsGood communication skillsMust have a strong commitment to jobsite safetyPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days of work are normally Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Hours of work are determined by the supervisor based on deadlines set by the client.TravelTravel to the jobsites is expected for this position.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee up to and over 2/3 of time at work. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
