This role is primarily backend-focused and involves building and supporting microservices using modern Java-based technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable, high-performance solutions to support client applicationsDevelop enterprise systems using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot-based microservices, and RDBMS technologiesWork independently with minimal supervision, owning tasks end-to-end from initiation through resolutionProactively identify and resolve issues, escalating when appropriate and ensuring timely follow-throughCollaborate closely with peer developers to translate business and functional requirements into technical designsEnsure automated test plans and scripts align with customer and system requirementsCommunicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps, infrastructure)Support systems outside normal business hours when requiredDevelop and enhance microservices that integrate with middleware technologies such as Kafka/JMSContribute to modernization and cloud-native initiatives leveraging container platformsRequired QualificationsMinimum 10 years of overall IT experienceStrong proficiency in Java 17 with hands-on experience in Spring Boot microservices developmentPrimarily backend-focused Java engineer with expertise in:Java servicesDatabasesEnterprise integrations3+ years of SQL development experience (SQL Server and/or Oracle)Strong hands-on experience with KafkaExperience with:Cloud platformsTest AutomationFront-end technologies such as ReactAbility to work independently and take ownership of deliverablesStrong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with OpenShift and/or KubernetesFamiliarity with containerized deployments and CI/CD pipelinesEnterprise financial services experience is a plusTop 3 Skills RequiredBackend Java Engineering (Java, Microservices, Databases)Kafka, Cloud Technologies, and Test AutomationOpenShift / Kubernetes (Preferred) Years of Experience: 10.00 Years of Experience
