How You'll Make a DifferenceValvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a UAT Manager (User Acceptance Testing Manager). In this role, you will lead our User Acceptance Testing function as a dedicated team, separate from QA. This role ensures that digital products and enhancements meet business requirements and are ready for release from an end-user and stakeholder perspective.The UAT Manager will act as the bridge between Product, Business, Engineering, and Operations — driving structured, business-led validation before production release. This role reports to the VP, Digital Product.Key Responsibilities:UAT Strategy & GovernanceEstablish and own the UAT framework, standards, processes, and best practicesDefine entry/exit criteria for UAT cyclesBuild scalable UAT operating models across multiple product linesEnsure traceability between business requirements and UAT test casesMaintain UAT metrics and reporting dashboardsPlanning & ExecutionDevelop and manage UAT plans, timelines, and resource allocationCoordinate UAT cycles across releases and product initiativesLead defect triage sessions related to UAT findingsEnsure proper documentation of defects, risks, and business impactProvide UAT sign-off recommendations to the VP, Digital ProductStakeholder CollaborationPartner closely with Product Managers, QA, Engineering, and Business SMEsAlign UAT scope with business objectives and acceptance criteriaCommunicate UAT readiness, risks, and outcomes to senior leadershipAct as the voice of the business during release validationTeam LeadershipHire, develop, and manage a dedicated UAT teamDefine roles and responsibilities between QA and UAT to avoid overlapCoach business stakeholders on effective UAT participationPromote a culture of accountability and user-focused validation Environment & Tool ManagementEnsure UAT environments are properly configured and stableOversee test data management for business validationRecommend and manage UAT tools and reporting systemsWhat You’ll Need to SucceedRequired Qualifications:5+ years of experience in UAT, business testing, or product validation2+ years in a leadership or management roleExperience working closely with Digital Product and Engineering teamsStrong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologiesProven experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholdersExcellent communication and executive reporting skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in digital platforms (web, mobile, e-commerce, SaaS, etc.)Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similarExperience building a UAT function from the ground upPMP, PMI-ACP, CBAP, or relevant certificationSuccess Metrics:On-time UAT cycle completionReduction in post-production defects related to business logicClear separation and alignment between QA and UAT responsibilitiesHigh stakeholder satisfaction with release readinessStrong traceability between requirements and validation outcomesWe Take Care of the WHOLE YouHealth insurance plans (medical, dental, vision)HSA and flexible spending accounts401(k) Incentive opportunity*Life insuranceShort and long-term disability insurancePaid vacation and holidays*Employee Assistance ProgramValvoline Instant Oil Change discountsTuition reimbursement*Adoption assistance* *Terms and conditions apply, and benefits may differ depending on position.
