Senior Accountant | Chattanooga, TNAbout the roleOur client is a fast-growing healthcare company headquartered in Chattanooga, TN with a differentiated model that is disrupting how employers think about employee health benefits. This is a senior accounting seat on a lean, high-ownership team reporting to the Accounting Manager, with direct visibility to the CFO. You'll take ownership of the AR cycle, invoicing, cash application, collections, and customer billing communications across a large and growing client base. Over time, you'll take on month-end close responsibilities, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue recognition.What you'll ownFull accounts receivable cycle: invoicing, cash application, adjustments, and collectionsBilling inbox ownership, primary point of contact for all customer billing inquiriesMonth-end and year-end close: journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesAR subledger to GL reconciliationRevenue recognition in accordance with GAAPAR metrics and reporting for leadershipCross-training with AP and other accounting functions as neededWhat we're looking for5+ years in an AR-heavy accounting role, hands-on invoice creation and management requiredStrong working knowledge of QuickBooks OnlineExperience with multi-entity accountingIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor's degree required; CPA strongly preferredPrivate/industry experience preferredCompensation: Commensurate with experience Location: Chattanooga, TN
