Our success is built on investing in our employees and giving them the tools and resources they need to succeed.Job SummaryThe AP-AR Accounting Manager will oversee the full cycle of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations while supervising members of the Accounting Department. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting processes, resolving vendor and customer issues, implementing process improvements, and supporting departmental goals.This is a full-time, onsite position based at our Maryland Heights Corporate Headquarters and reports directly to the Controller.Responsibilities Manage and oversee the full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.Supervise and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team members. Coordinate monthly AP and AR activities to ensure timely and accurate completion. Resolve vendor discrepancies, invoice issues, and return authorization concerns through direct communication with vendors, warehouses, and supply management teams.Assist with resolving customer billing and shipment discrepancies.Oversee collections and follow-up efforts for past due customer accounts. Review checks, vouchers, and payment documentation for accuracy and compliance.Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to accounting workflows and systems.Compile reports and financial information required by management and third parties.Assist with special projects and cross-functional accounting initiatives. Lead team meetings, communicate department goals, and support employee development.Collaborate with the Controller and Human Resources on hiring, employee evaluations, and departmental planning.Maintain accounting systems and support troubleshooting, reporting, and data management functions. Promote a professional and positive experience for employees, vendors, and customers.Preferred Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required. Minimum three years of accounting experience with direct Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities.Minimum three years of supervisory or management experience. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.Experience with accounting software and ERP systems preferred.Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across departments.Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
