Experienced Server

Stokes Adobe is seeking experienced, hospitality-driven servers who are passionate about elevated service to join our team! Located in downtown Monterey in a historic adobe, we offer a seasonally driven menu, thoughtful cocktails and wine, and warm, polished service. We believe exceptional hospitality comes from genuine connection, attention to detail, and anticipating what our guests need. *The Role* Our servers own the guest experience from the moment a table is seated until the final farewell. You should be comfortable managing a section with confidence and urgency while maintaining service that feels warm, composed, and effortless to the guest. This includes: * Creating genuine connections with guests while maintaining professional, attentive service * Guiding guests confidently through our food, wine, cocktail, and beverage offerings * Understanding proper coursing, pacing, marking, clearing, crumbing, and table maintenance * Anticipating beverage refills, additional rounds, and the next needs of the table * Performing timely quality checks and quickly addressing anything that isn't right * Maintaining an organized, clean, and polished section throughout service * Using seat numbers and accurate POS practices * Staying aware of the entire dining room—not just your own section * Running food and beverages and actively supporting teammates * Remaining engaged during both busy and slower periods * Taking ownership of the guest experience through payment and departure *Who We're Looking For* Ideal candidates have: * 1+ years in an elevated, upscale, or fine-dining restaurant environment * Strong food, wine, cocktail, and general beverage knowledge * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Confidence managing multiple tables while maintaining attention to detail * A strong sense of urgency without appearing rushed * An instinct for anticipation and genuine hospitality * Strong POS skills * A collaborative mentality and willingness to support the entire restaurant * Professionalism, reliability, and respect for teammates and leadership * The ability to receive feedback and consistently execute established service standards *Schedule* Candidates should be available for a minimum of three shifts per week, including weekend availability and holidays. *Compensation* $16.90/hour + tips If you're an experienced server who notices the details, enjoys creating memorable experiences, and takes pride in being part of a strong restaurant team, we'd love to meet you!
