Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill a CNC Bender/Set-Up Operator position at a Manufacturing company in Livonia, MI. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, and training of new DLs on CNC Benders machine and other rotary draw bend machinery. The CNC Bender/Set-Up position is a direct-hire position. Apply Now!Duties for this position include:Set up of CNC and rotary draw bend machineryOperation of CNC and rotary draw bend machineryProvides guidance and instructions to DLs for the safe and productive operation of machineryEnsures all parts are built to customer specificationsReports promptly all problems or abnormal conditions to the Shift SupervisorEnsures housekeeping and health and safety standards are maintainedAdheres to all corporate and plant-level rules and regulationsSupports an attitude of teamwork and contributes to continuous improvementsUnderstands the importance of quality and assists in the achievement and maintenance of IATF16949 certificationUnderstands the importance of the environment and assists in the achievement and maintenance of ISO14001 certificationSupports the BTO (Build-to-Order) programAble to understand and read blueprintsCapable of using micrometers and calipersCompensation (USD):$26.00/hourSchedule:Monday - Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturday: 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.Sunday: Occasional voluntarySuccessful candidates must meet the following requirements:High School Diploma or GED (5 years of service will be given consideration)Knowledgeable in Computer ProgrammingMust be able to set up the Bender, not just bendingDemonstrate the ability to provide leadership and set examples for other employeesHave a thorough working knowledge of the respective cell and be capable of providing training to other employeesVerbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate a cooperative and committed attitude toward all employees, management, and corporate objectivesAbility to stand for long periods of time on the manufacturing floorDecisions are limited to shutting down the process and contacting the Shift Supervisor or Team Leader when the potential exists of producing bad partsLearn more about us by visiting our website at metroindustrialservices.com.Have questions?
