CNC Machinist Operator

Job Description CNC MachinistLocation: Cincinnati, OHIndustry: Aerospace Manufacturing1st and 2nd shift available!Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate advanced multi-axis machining equipment in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, experience with tight tolerances, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes to ensure high-quality, on-time production.The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC equipment including:3, 4, and 5-axis milling machinesVertical Turning Lathes (VTLs)Horizontal lathesCreep feed grinders5-axis grinding machinesUpload, download, and edit CNC programs as requiredInterpret operation sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce parts that meet or exceed specificationsSelect, align, and secure fixtures, tooling, and workpiecesVerify part conformance using precision measuring tools and equipmentAnalyze and interpret CMM reports and inspection dataPerform deburring operations to required tolerancesMaintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G & M codesRun multiple machines when assignedOperate overhead crane as neededDocument production and inspection activity in ERP systems, control charts, travelers, and quality logsMaintain continuity between shifts by documenting actions, issues, and ongoing needsDetect and troubleshoot equipment or process malfunctions; escalate issues when necessaryCollaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Management to ensure production and quality goals are metAdhere to safety standards and properly use required PPEThis position operates within aerospace quality systems including AS9100 and NADCAP.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredCNC machining certificate preferred, or equivalent hands-on experienceExperience with G & M code programming requiredAbility to perform basic math, including trigonometryExperience in an industrial manufacturing environment requiredAerospace machining experience strongly preferredFamiliarity with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Okuma controls is a plusAbility to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprintsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsKey AttributesDependable with strong attendance recordHigh level of integrity and accountabilityAbility to take initiative and ownership of responsibilitiesTeam-oriented with effective communication skillsCommitment to safety and quality standards
