Ace’s GREENLEAD® LAB technology is efficient and safe, offering superior cost economics compared to traditional smelting processes.Ace is establishing one of the world’s most advanced battery recycling platforms in Silsbee, Texas, and is seeking a Lead Scientist – Chemistry to lead cutting-edge research, process innovation, and technology development for the recycling and treatment of industrial wastes.The role will focus on developing next-generation chemical processes, recovery technologies, and sustainable solutions for complex industrial waste streams, supporting Ace’s long-term vision of expanding beyond battery recycling into advanced resource recovery and circular economy technologies.We are rapidly expanding across continents and building one of the world’s most modern critical-materials ecosystems through sustainable recycling technologies. Position OverviewThe Lab Technician will support day-to-day laboratory operations by preparing samples, conducting analytical testing, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate data recording. This role is critical to maintaining quality standards and supporting the Quality Control team in delivering reliable and timely analytical results.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare samples for analysis including weighing, digestion, dilution, and labelling.Perform chemical and instrumental tests as per established SOPs and laboratory procedures.Operate and assist in maintaining laboratory instruments (e.g., ICP, AAS, XRF, OES spectrometer, wet chemistry setups etc).Record test results accurately and maintain proper documentation in logs and systems.Ensure timely completion of assigned testing activities within defined timelines.Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the laboratory.Assist in calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of lab equipment.Support inventory management of chemicals, reagents, and consumables.Report deviations, equipment issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor.Assist senior chemists and QC team in ongoing testing, validation, and improvement initiatives.Functional CompetenciesStrong understanding of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory practices. Ability to follow SOPs and execute testing with high accuracy and repeatability. Familiarity with sample preparation and instrumental analysis techniques.Basic troubleshooting ability for routine analytical issues.Good documentation and data recording discipline.Key AttributesHigh attention to detail and accuracy.
