Ace’s GREENLEAD® LAB technology is efficient and safe, offering superior cost economics compared to traditional smelting processes.Ace is establishing one of the world’s most advanced battery recycling platforms in Silsbee, Texas, and is seeking a Lead Scientist – Chemistry to lead cutting-edge research, process innovation, and technology development for the recycling and treatment of industrial wastes.The role will focus on developing next-generation chemical processes, recovery technologies, and sustainable solutions for complex industrial waste streams, supporting Ace’s long-term vision of expanding beyond battery recycling into advanced resource recovery and circular economy technologies.We are rapidly expanding across continents and building one of the world’s most modern critical-materials ecosystems through advanced recycling technologies. This is a high-speed, execution-focused environment ideal for an engineering leader who wants ownership, technical challenge, and global impact.Position OverviewThe Manager - Process Engineering will lead process design, optimization, commissioning support, and continuous improvement initiatives for plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead process design, flowsheets, mass balances, and optimization initiatives.Support commissioning, start-up, ramp-up, and steady-state operations.Improve yield, recovery, throughput, reliability, and operating costs.Conduct HAZOP, PHA, MOC, and process safety reviews.Troubleshoot plant issues and implement sustainable engineering solutions.Support equipment selection, plant modifications, and expansion projects.Collaborate with R&D, QC, Operations, Automation, and Maintenance teams.Required QualificationsBachelor's or master's degree in chemical engineering / Process Engineering.Ph.D. in Chemical or Process Engineering (preferred). 10–15 years of industrial process engineering experience. Strong plant operations and commissioning experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience in hydrometallurgy, battery recycling, specialty chemicals, minerals, or metals processing. Familiarity with Aspen Plus / HYSYS or equivalent tools.
