Commercial Refrigeration & Kitchen Equipment Technician
We are hiring a Commercial Refrigeration and Kitchen Equipment Technician to support restaurants, hospitality, and food service operations throughout the Boston area. This is a field-based role focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems and kitchen equipment.
Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration systems and kitchen equipment
Service equipment including refrigeration, cooking, and ware-washing systems
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
Communicate with manufacturers for technical support and parts identification
Install replacement parts and complete repairs efficiently
Complete service documentation including work orders and inventory tracking
Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and tool inventory
Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Identify and recommend preventative maintenance or additional services
Requirements 3+ years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, appliance repair, or commercial kitchen equipment
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications EPA certification
CFESA certification
Experience with commercial refrigeration systems or food service equipment
Ability to work independently in a field environment
Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
Frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing
Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and confined environments
Ability to work at heights and on ladders
