Senior Project Manager (Theme Park) (Los Angeles)
Key Responsibilities:Lead the overall administration and execution of mid-sized Themed Park construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.Promote and maintain a strong workplace safety culture by implementing and enforcing site-specific health and safety procedures.Oversee project delivery to ensure alignment with design intent, budget targets, scheduling milestones, quality standards, and resource allocation.Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve project efficiency through value-driven solutions.Monitor project performance and prepare regular updates related to scheduling, forecasting, financial tracking, and safety metrics.Manage procurement activities including subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, payment approvals, and ongoing contract administration.Interpret and enforce contractual obligations, project specifications, and construction documentation.Coordinate project turnover activities and ensure all closeout requirements are completed efficiently.Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies while leveraging opportunities for improved outcomes.Design-Build Project Experience (if applicable):Support coordination between design and construction teams to maintain quality, compliance, constructability, and schedule alignment throughout the project lifecycle.Assist in developing and maintaining design management and quality assurance processes, including periodic reviews and audits.Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders regarding project developments, risks, and opportunities to support effective decision-making and expectation management.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.Approximately 5-15 years of progressive experience within the construction industry, including experience leading teams and mentoring staff.Strong understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations with proven success fostering safe work environments.Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices, project delivery methods, building codes, contract administration, materials, and quality control procedures.Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and competing priorities in fast-paced environments.Skilled in identifying project risks and implementing practical solutions to minimize impact.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management or scheduling software, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
