Overview
In this Project Engineer role, you will lead a portfolio of complex system development efforts from concept through deployment and sustainment within Lockheed Martin’s AMMM projects. You will partner with engineering teams to align with strategy, manage technical risk, and drive cross-functional planning to meet cost, schedule, and technical goals. You’ll act as the primary liaison to program management and senior leadership, delivering insights on program impact and opportunities. The role emphasizes scalable processes to maintain agility and supports the broader mission of delivering advanced aerospace solutions.

ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of complex system/technical development from concept to deployment and sustainmentEnsure alignment with Engineering and Technology strategy and manage technical riskDrive planning and execution across Engineering Teams to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirementsAct as single voice and point of contact to program management and senior leadership on program executionProvide timely and accurate insight on program impacts or opportunities to the Program ManagerDevelop innovative, scalable standardized processes to maintain agilityComplete Earned Value Management duties including work authorization requests, EAC reviews, schedule status, variance reporting, and proposalsCoordinate planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within assigned area
Key requirementsBachelor's degree in engineering preferred or a Technical Degree with 8+ years of related aircraft experienceExperience in design, analysis, and/or aircraft systems or structureProject Management experience leading a cross-functional team on a new or modified development programMust be a US CitizenExperience with planning and management of complex program issuesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentstrong interpersonal skillsteam collaborationeffective written and verbal communicationC-130 technical domain knowledge (Software, Avionics, Aircraft or Systems)Program planning and management of complex program issuesReporting program progress to senior leadership
