Employment Type:Full timeShift:12 Hour Night ShiftDescription:The Respiratory Therapist shall be responsible for the administration of respiratory care offered by the Respiratory Care DepartmentWhat you will doThe Respiratory Therapist shall be responsible for the administration of respiratory care offered by the Respiratory Care DepartmentFunction clinically with a considerable amount of independent judgment regarding the delivery of quality patient careServe as a technical resource person to the physicians and other health care workers, with regard to current practices in respiratory careSets up, operates and manages patient care on respiratory related equipment such as mechanical ventilators, NIPPV/CPAP, or High Flow Oxygen devices; Manages patients on invasive mechanical ventilation modes (AC, PSV, PC, APRV, Bi-level)Minimum QualificationsGraduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care, minimum of a two-year Associate's DegreeCurrent State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner LicenseRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).Thorough knowledge of the procedures and patient care techniques involved in the delivery of respiratory carePosition Highlights and BenefitsFull time 36hrs on 7p-7a - excellent shift and weekend differentialsGreat benefits starting day 1!Ministry/Facility InformationJohnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
