About the RoleThe Human Resources Generalist at BoxHouse will oversee day-to-day HR operations while supporting talent acquisition and key HR initiatives across the organization. This role serves as a trusted partner to employees and managers by ensuring HR processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with company objectives.The ideal candidate is an early-to-mid career HR professional with hands-on experience in recruiting, employee relations, and HR administration someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes ownership of projects, and is excited to help scale HR infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesHR Operations & AdministrationOversee daily HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and personnel file management.Maintain and update HRIS records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.Administer benefits programs; support open enrollment, vendor communication, and employee inquiries.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.Support payroll changes and audits in coordination with Finance (if applicable).Talent AcquisitionManage full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles: job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate communication.Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver a smooth, efficient hiring process.Support employer branding and candidate experience initiatives.Maintain recruitment metrics and contribute to process improvements.Employee RelationsServe as an approachable, confidential resource for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution.Assist in performance management processes, including coaching managers and documenting conversations.Help foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with company values.HR Projects & InitiativesLead or support cross-functional HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, policy updates, training programs, and DEI initiatives.Contribute to the development and scaling of HR processes, tools, and best practices.Assist with HR communications (handbooks, announcements, guidelines, etc.).Qualifications2–5 years of hands-on HR experience in generalist, coordinator, or recruiter roles.Strong understanding of HR fundamentals, employment law, and recruiting best practices.Experience with HRIS platforms.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and confidentiality.Self-starter with a growth mindset and eagerness to take ownership of projectsExperience in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.Success in This Role Looks LikeStrong employee trust built through responsiveness and fairness.Effective partnership with hiring managers and smooth recruiting workflows.Increased efficiency and clarity in HR processes and documentation.Visible contribution to employee engagement and BoxHouse's overall culture.SalaryWill be based on experience and qualifications.
