This is a fast paced and collaborative environment ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with residents, supporting multiple operational teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance across a multi site portfolio.Job DescriptionThe Compliance Coordinator supports affordable housing properties and ensures full compliance with federal, state, and local program requirements. This role works closely with the Compliance Department and other operational teams while traveling between multiple worksites. The position involves coordinating certifications, communicating with residents, and assisting with audits and inspections to maintain accurate and compliant files.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure ongoing compliance with affordability requirements throughout a resident's tenancyProcess interim, initial, and termination certificationsGenerate recertification notices that meet HUD and IRS requirementsComplete annual recertifications, including direct communication with residentsProcess renewal paperwork, including Section 8 voucher renewalsGenerate vacancy claims and repayment agreements for approvalSchedule Section 8 voucher inspections with the Centralized Maintenance TeamEnsure occupancy standards and house rules are followed and collaborate with other departments as neededProvide backup or additional support to other Compliance Department staffEnsure adherence to Federal, State, and local Fair Housing regulations and ordinancesAssist with file audits and management reviews on siteAttend quarterly and annual trainings to maintain compliance knowledgeSupport other Operational Departments as neededPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentOne or more years of property management compliance experience, including affordable housingSolid understanding of LIHTC, HOME, HUD subsidy programs, and Fair Housing regulationsAbility to maintain a positive, customer?focused attitudeStrong organizational skills and attention to detailEffective interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to learn and leverage technology platformsPreferredTax Credit Specialist, Blended Occupancy Specialist, Assisted Housing Manager, or Certified Occupancy Specialist designationYardi experienceEnthusiastic team?oriented work styleCommitment to delivering excellent customer serviceBenefitsDahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family's needs.
