Electronics Test Development Engineer

The Electronics Test Development Engineer is responsible for designing, building, andmaintaining automated test stations. This role bridges R&D and manufacturing bydeveloping the test infrastructure required to validate new electronic/RF hardware designsand ensure quality during high-volume production.Key ResponsibilitiesTest Architecture: Design and develop automated test equipment (ATE), test fixtures, and complex electronic systems.• Test Automation: Write, debug, and maintain automated test software using LabVIEW 2020-2026. Familiarity with LabVIEW PPL’s and distributed runtime engines. Must know or have the ability to learn various LabVIEW implementations.• Hardware Design: Create custom test interfaces, develop rack-based test stations.• Validation & Debug: Collaborate with Engineers and Technicians to define test plans, perform root-cause failure analysis, and validate hardware functionality.• Yield Optimization: Analyze test data and statistical yield metrics to optimize test coverage and reduce overall test time in manufacturing.• Documentation: Author standard operating procedures (SOPs), test coverage reports, and Design-for-Test (DFT) guidelines.Qualifications & Skills• Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with proven relevant experience.• Programming: Five years of LabVIEW 2020 – 2026 experience for test developmentand instrument automation. Plus – if experienced in Actor Framework and/or Python 3.1 or later.• Lab Equipment: Hands-on experience with rack-based test instruments such as: RF Switches, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.• Hardware Skills: Experience with schematics and basic board troubleshooting.• Problem Solving: Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to perform root-cause analysis on analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuits and rack-based instruments.• Industry Knowledge: DFT methodologies, ATE platforms, and regulatorycompliance testing
