Summit Veterinary Referral Center is hiring Licensed Veterinary Technicians for their Neurology Department!Job Summary:We are currently seeking Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our Neurology team. As a Neurology Technician, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch medical care to pets and their owners. You will be part of a collaborative veterinary team involved in neurologic procedures, ensuring the highest standards in anesthesia care and working closely with multiple departments to create seamless patient experiences. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be adaptable, have a positive attitude, and a passion for animal care.Schedule:10 hour shifts 4 times per weekWeekend shift per week requiredOn-call shift rotation required once trainedShift differential for any shift hours worked within 6p-6am $3/hr Mon-Thurs and $5/hr Fri-SunDepartment coverage needed:NeurologyQualifications:Must possess a valid license as a Veterinary Technician or be board eligibleMinimum of two years of experience working as a Licensed Veterinary TechnicianAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to work independently, as well as part of a teamExperience in specialty medicine preferred, but we are willing to train the right personVTS in Neurology encouraged to applyResponsibilities:Proper handling and restraint of medically compromised patientsTriage and intake skills/TPRCritical thinking in emergency settingPerform technical procedures such as venipuncture, administering IV fluids, and catheter placement.Perform drug calculations, administer controlled and non controlled medications PO, SQ, IM, and IV as directed by the veterinarian.Monitor, induce, maintain and recover patients undergoing anesthetic proceduresProvide nursing care and treatment to hospitalized patientsEducate pet owners on post-operative and at-home care for their pets.Assist with advanced imaging (Fluoroscopy/X-ray/Ultrasound/MRI/CT)Communicate with other departments within the hospital or clinic for the overall success of the practice.Compensation & Benefits:**Hiring Bonus/Relocation assistance Available**Hourly pay range- $30.00 - $40.00 depending on experienceShift differential for any shift hours worked within 6p-6am $3/hr Mon-Thurs and $5/hr Fri-SunCE/Dues/License Fees/Uniform Allowances401k PTOMedical, dental, and vision insuranceEmployee assistance plan with focus on mental healthPlus more employee perks!Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location.
