This role is ideal for a clinician who values variety, autonomy, and meaningful patient care in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.Part-time clinicians are asked to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month, with opportunities to cover additional shifts when needed. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care settingManage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visitsOrder and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imagingPerform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and other procedures as applicableClearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructionsDocument patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHRCode and bill services appropriatelyMaintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarksPractice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA licenseNP: ANCC or AANP certification; FNP requiredPA: NCCPA certificationActive DEA license, or ability to obtainAbility to treat patients of all agesActive BLS certificationEHR proficiencyWillingness to work occasional weekends and holidaysDOT certification required or willingness to obtain Preferred Qualifications Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experienceStrong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound careExperience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-readComfort practicing independently in a fast-paced setting About NextCare NextCare is one of the nation s largest urgent care providers, serving communities with accessible, affordable, high-quality care across 160+ locations in 11 states.
