Interventional Radiologic Technologist - Full TimeSign-On Bonus: $25,000 for New Hires and Rehires who meet eligibility requirementsThe Interventional Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic testing as directed by the physician at a competent technical level not requiring constant supervision. This position operates diagnostic equipment, including peripheral equipment, in a safe and efficient manner to obtain optimal test results. The Technologist manages the patient during the diagnostic procedure to meet patient care standards. This position ensures supplies are maintained and reports problems with equipment to the appropriate staff member.This position actively participates in and supports student clinical education activities where applicable. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION:* Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program requiredLICENSE/CERTIFICATION:Licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) requiredCertified in Radiography (R.T.(R) by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) requiredAdvanced ARRT certification preferred within 18 months of passing initial registry or date of hireBLS for Healthcare Providers requiredACLS required within 3 months from date of hire or transferEXPERIENCE:1-year diagnostic testing experience preferredCandidates must possess ability to multitask, with attention to fine detail in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hireState License expires end of each year and must be renewed annually to workARRT expires on incumbent's date of birth and must be renewed to workWORK ENVIRONMENTPotential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, blood-borne pathogens, potential injury, and hazardous substances, including electromagnetic radiation. Position requires the ability to stand a majority of the time; and require the ability to sit in front of a CRT monitor much of the time.
