Payroll Analyst

The Payroll Analyst is an individual contributor responsible for executing payroll processing activities and performing detailed reviews to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This role follows established payroll procedures, resolves routine to moderately complex issues, and supports audits, reconciliations, and reporting activities.The Payroll Analyst partners with HR, Finance, senior payroll team members, and vendors to maintain accurate payroll records while applying payroll regulations and internal policies within defined guidelines.Minimum EducationBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.Minimum Work Experience2 years of progressive payroll processing experience required.Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems (e.g. Workday, UKG, or comparable platforms required.Preferred CertificationsFundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)Certified Payroll ProfessionalRequired Skills/KnowledgeWorking knowledge of payroll legislation, wage-and-hour rules, and pay cycle executionAbility to analyze payroll data and resolve discrepancies with guidance as neededExperience reconciling payroll results and supporting audit activitiesProficiency in payroll, timekeeping, and HRIS systems; ability to troubleshoot routine issuesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skills to collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendorsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting toolsSalary Range: $57,200 - $95,347Primary LocationMaryland-Silver SpringWork LocationsTech HillJobAccounting & FinanceShiftDayWork ScheduleM-FJob PostingMay 8, 2026, 9:39:01 PM
