Senior Payroll Analyst

Payroll AnalystCompile, analyze, reviews and update data for accurate and timely execution of payroll. Support day-to-day payroll operations, including reconciliation, generation of reports and audits.Compensation & BenefitsEstimated Starting Salary Range for Payroll Analyst: Pay commensurate with experience.Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.Payroll Analyst Responsibilities IncludePayroll ProcessingProcess bi-weekly, weekly, and off-cycle payrolls for multiple legal entities using Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll, ensuring accuracy across earnings, deductions, garnishments, and taxesPerform payroll element entries, batch uploads, and retroactive pay adjustments within Oracle Fusion PayrollReview and validate payroll calculation results; investigate and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submissionExecute payroll flow tasks including payroll run, prepayment, payment, and costing; monitor flow statuses and resolve exceptionsSupport off-cycle payment processing for terminations, missed payments, and manual checksEnsure compliance with Service Contract Act (SCA), Davis-Bacon Act, and DCAA payroll documentation requirements where applicableGarnishments & DeductionsProcess wage garnishments, child support orders, levies, and creditor garnishments Review garnishment withholding calculations and validate compliance with federal and state consumer credit protection limitsCoordinate employee deduction setups for benefits, voluntary deductions, and savings plans with the Benefits teamAudit, Controls & DocumentationPrepare payroll registers, audit reports, and reconciliation schedules for Finance and internal audit reviewMaintain payroll records in compliance with DCAA and organizational records retention policiesRespond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, HR Business Partners, and Finance in a timely and accuratelyRequired QualificationsAssociate's degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; equivalent work experience consideredMinimum 5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience in a multi-entity or multi-state environmentWorking knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations, garnishment laws, and wage and hour complianceExperience with Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll or a comparable enterprise payroll system (ADP Workforce Now, Workday, etc.)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups for payroll reconciliation and reportingStrong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to meet non-negotiable payroll deadlinesAbility to handle confidential payroll data with the highest level of discretion and integrityPreferred QualificationsExperience with Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll specifically, including payroll flows, element configuration, balance adjustments, and OTBI reportingFamiliarity with ADP SmartCompliance for multi-state tax filing Experience in a Government Contracting (GovCon) environment with exposure to SCA, Davis-Bacon, DCAA timekeeping, or FAR/CAS complianceFundamental Payroll Professional (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designationExperience supporting year-end W-2 and W-2c processes including balance verification and correctionsCompany InformationCherokee Nation Businesses Corp - CFED (CNB) is a part of Cherokee Federal – the division of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses.
