Schedule:
morning shift: 6:15 am - 7:45 am
afternoon shift: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
We are seeking dependable and caring before and after school program aides to support our school-age childcare program. The ideal candidate will help create a safe, engaging and supportive environment for children before and after the school day.

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Before & After-School Program Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will support the implementation of engaging youth programs, supervise children in various activities, and ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants. Responsibilities
* Supervise children during before- and after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
* Facilitate engaging activities such as games, arts and crafts, sports, and educational projects that promote youth development
* Manage behavior using positive discipline strategies and effective behavior management techniques
* Assist with classroom management and support teachers or program coordinators in implementing curriculum plans
* Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols and emergency procedures, including CPR and AED operation when necessary
* Support children with special needs by applying inclusive teaching practices and understanding childhood development principles
* Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and concerns
Requirements
* Experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings
* Knowledge of classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development best practices
* Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED operation (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
* Strong child supervision skills with an active and energetic approach to engaging youth in outdoor work and indoor activities
* Ability to lead youth group activities confidently while maintaining a safe environment
* Experience with special education or working with students with diverse needs is a plus
* Excellent teamwork skills coupled with the ability to work independently in dynamic settings

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
