Java Middleware Developer

Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Java Middleware Developer to design, develop, integrate, and support middleware applications and enterprise services. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, messaging systems, integration technologies, and microservices architecture.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Java-based middleware applications and enterprise integration services.Develop scalable RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.Build and maintain integrations between applications, databases, third-party systems, and enterprise platforms.Work with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or JMS.Develop and manage middleware components for reliable data exchange and business-process integration.Troubleshoot application, integration, performance, and production issues.Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.Collaborate with architects, business analysts, developers, QA teams, and DevOps teams.Implement security, logging, monitoring, exception handling, and fault-tolerance mechanisms.Participate in deployment, production support, and incident resolution.Follow Agile/Scrum development practices and maintain technical documentation.Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience with Core Java, J2EE, Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, and Java 8+.Strong experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.Experience developing RESTful APIs and Web Services.Good understanding of Microservices architecture and enterprise integration patterns.Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or JMS.Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.Experience with Maven/Gradle, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with application servers/middleware platforms such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss/EAP, Tomcat, or similar.Experience with JSON, XML, SOAP, REST, HTTP/HTTPS, and API integration.Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred SkillsExperience with AWS/Azure/GCP.Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with API Gateway / API Management platforms.Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, and enterprise security.Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.Exposure to Spring Integration, Apache Camel, MuleSoft, or similar middleware technologies.Experience working in large-scale enterprise or financial services environments.
