Resource Nurse - Full-Time Nights (ICU/CCU - Wayne)

Nurse ManagerSupports the Nurse Manager in the coordination of patient care. Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the needs of patients and addresses system issues to facilitate the provision of quality care. Delegates appropriately to other team members. Utilizes communication skills, leadership ability, time management, and problem-solving skills to facilitate the daily operation of the unit. Makes customer needs a priority. Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care collaboratively in accordance with the scope of nursing practice. Supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Healthcare System. Serves as the main clinical resource for any issues/questions related to areas of specialty. QualificationsKnowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and two to three years Nursing experience required. Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey. Successful completion of department specific orientation and department specific certifications of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 1 year of hire. Effective January 2019, St. Joseph's Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
