Retirement & Executive Compensation Consulting, Senior ManagerWe're working with a well-established accounting and consulting firm in Michigan to identify a Senior Manager for their Retirement & Executive Compensation Consulting practice. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with a clear path to Partner.This is a high-impact, client-facing consulting role focused primarily on retirement plan design, with meaningful involvement in executive compensation strategy. You'll work directly with CFOs, CEOs, CHROs, and senior leadership teams, advising organizations ranging from mid-market to large, complex enterprises.What You'll DoOwn and lead complex client engagements end-to-end, including scoping, analysis, recommendations, and executive-level deliveryAdvise on qualified and non-qualified plan structures (401(k), 401(a), 403(b), 409A, etc.)Present recommendations and guide decision-making with executive stakeholdersTranslate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insightsMentor and develop team membersActively contribute to business development through relationship expansion, proposal development, and identifying new consulting opportunities within existing accountsWhat We're Looking ForStrong experience leading retirement plan design projects, including strategy, compliance considerations, and optimization of qualified and non-qualified structures (required)Ability to independently advise on executive compensation strategy, including 409A compliance, SERPs, deferred compensation plan design, and executive benefit benchmarkingBackground in consulting, accounting, or professional servicesProven ability to work directly with executive leadershipStrong communication and presentation skillsSolid technical foundation across retirement and executive compensationCredentials: Bachelors degree requires, JD or advanced degree in tax, HR or related field preferredWhat Success Looks LikeDeep expertise in retirement plan design, including both qualified and non-qualified plansAbility to advise on executive compensation strategies with confidence and independenceStrong consulting mindset with the ability to lead client engagementsExperience supporting business development and building client relationshipsComfortable working directly with C-level executivesAbility to simplify complex concepts and present with clarity and authorityImportant to KnowThis role is exclusively for professionals with hands-on experience designing retirement and executive compensation plans.
