This role will work closely with finance, accounting, and operational leadership to ensure accurate reporting, timely close processes, strong internal controls, and continued process improvement across the organization.The ideal candidate will have strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments, and a solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, ERP systems, and financial reporting. Experience with SOX, Epicor, BlackLine, and CPA credentials are preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.Supervise accounting functions including reporting, billing, budgeting, and reconciliations.Support payroll reconciliations, banking transactions, and cash flow forecasting.Analyze labor, material, overhead, inventory, and production costs while identifying trends and variances.Prepare financial reports, gross margin analysis, and management reporting packages.Maintain and strengthen internal controls, audit support, and SOX compliance documentation.Partner with operational leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.Support ERP and process improvement initiatives across finance and operations.Coordinate audit requests, reporting requirements, and ad hoc financial analysis for leadership.Monitor inventory valuation and manufacturing cost reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across departments.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of accounting and finance experience.Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or another regulated environment preferred.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support.Understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing operations.Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and management reporting.Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.Preferred QualificationsCPA or CPA candidate preferred.SOX compliance experience preferred.Epicor experience preferred.BlackLine experience preferred.Aerospace and defense manufacturing experience preferred.Knowledge of revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting is a plus.ITAR RequirementThis position requires access to information, technology, or hardware that may be subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
