Project Manager
The HVAC Project Manager leads the teams successfully deliver assigned projects within budget and project schedule. The PM manages resources, schedules, and financials and adheres to quality and control guidelines throughout the project life cycle. A primary function of the PM is to manage issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. The PM contributes to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. The PM has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis and verifies the project produces the required deliverables of quality.PRIMARY DUTIES:Plan, direct, and coordinate personnel in support of the project's labor needsDirects, supports and mentors all subordinate supervisory personnel; ensures compliance with safety and administrative requirementsAssumes primary project leadership responsibilities in partnership with other key team members and project personnelEvaluates the contractual scope of work; plan, organize, and staff project positions.Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policyInitiates and maintains liaison with clients and contacts to facilitate successful construction activitiesNegotiates, prepares and issues subcontractsMonitors/controls construction through administrative direction of Project Superintendent; prepares, issues, and updates master project schedule and variance reports to ensure the project is built safely, on schedule, and within budgetManages financial aspects of contracts (costs, billings, and collections) to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow while simultaneously maintaining a positive relationship with the clientManages risks; investigates potentially serious situations to circumvent problems or promptly implement corrective measures as requiredPursues additional work through change orders and communicates these with the GC and Project TeamEnsures project document controls are in compliance with contract requirementsSupervises/mentors the work of Assistant Project Managers and SuperintendentsAssumes additional responsibilities as directed by leadership, or as the project dictatesThis position may require travel (may vary significantly between individuals in this position)QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 4 years of relevant management experienceProficient in EnglishDemonstrated experience/knowledge of construction design, finance, and managementThorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activitiesProject management skills including documentation, cost control, procurement, scheduling, change order pricing and negotiatingSuperior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skillsExcellent MS Office skillsAbility to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performanceEmployment is contingent upon satisfying all job site-specific access requirements, with no outstanding restrictions from any jobsite or from working with any of the Employer's partnering General Contractors, Owners, Customers, etc.WE OFFER:Competitive payHealth benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/ AD&D, STD, LTD, and supplemental life insurancePaid holidays and Paid time off401K plan with company matchPaid travel and per diem for out-of-area workWeekly direct deposited paychecks#LI-KI"Regulated by the Texas Dept. of Licensing and Registration, P.O.
