Director of Contracts

OverviewStraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Full-Time Director of Contracts to lead and manage all aspects of the company's contract administration functions. The Director of Contracts will be responsible for end-to-end contract development, negotiation, administration, and compliance. This position serves as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on all contractual matters and ensures full compliance with the applicable government regulations, including the FAR and DFARS. The Director of Contracts will aid in developing strategies, performing complex analysis, reviewing terms and conditions, and proposing fact-based decisions to ensure company interests are protected. This individual will play a key role in supporting business operations, managing risk, and enabling compliant and efficient contract execution. In addition, the Director of Contracts will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following requirements:Duties IncludeLead the full lifecycle management of prime contracts from proposal preparation and negotiation to contract award, execution and closeoutDevelop, negotiate, and administer T&M, Labor Hour, Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable/Award and Fixed Fee type Subcontracts, Non-disclosure Agreements and Teaming AgreementsInterpret, apply, and ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company policies related to government contractingCompile and maintain accurate, auditable contract data in the appropriate business system(s) (e.g. Deltek Costpoint)Coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders through to the closeout process to ensure contractual obligations have been satisfiedConduct requests for proposal reviews, contract related proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract and subcontract administration, including contract kick-offs, reporting, and close outs for IDIQs, Task Orders, and other ContractsPerforms contract risk assessments and advise leadership team on contractual rights, obligations and risk mitigation strategiesAnalyze, interpret and resolve complex contractual issuesTrack and manage contract and task order periods of performanceMaintain GSA schedulesManage and implement contract and subcontract modificationsProvide guidance in developing and implementing company policies and proceduresCoordinate activity with various corporate departments, Accounting, IT, HR, Program ManagementPrepare and provide training presentations for internal staff as requiredDevelop and maintain communications with government stakeholders including collecting and maintaining CPARS for prime contract programsExperience RequirementsProven organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, work independently and proactivelyMinimum 10 years of progressive experience in government contract management or administration, preferably in DoDStrong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, government procurement processes, contract documents and legal specificationsJoint Venture, CTA, NDA, and Teaming Agreement management and negotiation expertiseExperience with SBA Mentor-Protégé AgreementsPrevious experience working with contracting officers, contracting officer representatives, and contract specialistsExcellent communication skills – both written and verbalA background in finance, accounting, or business law is a plusExperience in preparing cost proposalsUnderstanding of labor requirements associated with federal contracts e.g.: SCA, Davis-Bacon Act, and associated requirementsEducational RequirementsBachelors DegreeCPCM certification is preferredAbout StraConStraCon is dedicated to supporting our government clients and warfighters by "Enhancing their Operational Capability".
