Our firm values hard work but we also believe that an appropriate work/life balance is key to our office culture, which is collaborative, team-oriented, and supportive.About the PositionWe are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team and take ownership of a growing caseload. This role is ideal for someone who is confident managing cases, comfortable in court, and capable of working directly with clients in a highly personal and often emotional practice area.This is a full-time position based in Chicago. The role is in office for the first 3 months to support training, collaboration, and integration with the team. After the initial 3-month period, the position may transition to a hybrid schedule, based on performance, firm needs, court appearances, and client responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesManage assigned caseload from intake through resolutionReview and respond to discovery requestsDraft pleadings, court orders, memoranda, and related legal documentsConduct legal research and analyze case materialsAppear in court for status hearings, motions, and trialsConduct and attend depositionsMaintain regular communication with clients and provide legal guidancePrepare and process court filingsManage scheduling and case deadlinesParticipate in networking and outreach to support business developmentHandle additional responsibilities as assignedAbout YouYou are a motivated attorney who takes ownership of your work and approaches cases with both professionalism and empathy. You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.You communicate clearly and effectively with clients, colleagues, and the court, and you are comfortable working with individuals navigating emotionally complex situations.
